Description of Classes
Shatnez - According to Jewish Law, one may not wear linen and Wool sewn together. Our class teaches boys how to remove problematic threads and how to look for the most common places of where the problem may exist.
Tzitzis - Jewish males, from as early as 3 years old, wear "Tzitzis." It is a 4 cornered garment made from Wool or Cotton and has four corners. The strings are tied in a very specific manner. The students are taught how to tie each corner in the manner of Jewish Tradition.
Safrus - Many Jewish Scrolls are written by a Hebrew Scribe. The letters used are written in a specific font. The letters must be written in a very specific manner or it could render them unfit. Students are taught how to write each letter, what kind of ink can be used, what type of parchment, quill, etc.
Personal Training - Students are taught how to properly work out without causing any bodily harm. In addition to strengthening the muscle tissue, it also helps for improving their stamina in many areas.
Woodworking - Students are shown how to make many popular woodworking projects and how to use the tools
Music Lessons - Instruction is given in Drums, Keyboard and Guitar
Woodworking - Students are taught how to make various Woodworking
Bar Mitzvah Lessons - Many Bar Mitzvah boys read from the Torah on the shabbos of their Bar Mitzvah. Students are taught how to read the Torah with the proper Cantillation.
Nusach Hatefila - Students are taught the various tunes and "nusach" for various prayers.
Bookbinding - Students are taught the proper way to bind books
Jewish Law / Halacha - Students are instructed in various laws of daily life. In addition, during the seasons of Holidays, students are taught the relevant laws pertaining to each holiday
Chumash / Bible - Classes are given on the weekly Torah portion
Talmud / Gemara - Classes are given on various tractates of the Talmud.
Jewish Culture - Students are taught about the Jewish history and way of life.
Jewish Thought - Students are taught the study of self improvement in Ethics and interpersonal relationships
Data Entry - Students are instructed how to enter Data into Excel and taught various formulas to make data gathering easy
